Planned gifts represent one of the greatest opportunities for public broadcasting. The broad reach of radio and television stations gives us the opportunity to get our case and our value before a broad audience every day. Because most planned gifts are simply bequests, starting at least a basic program is relatively straightforward.
All planned giving programs require access to professional expertise, but that does not have to be on staff. University licensees have professional assistance within the university development office. Community and state licensees may find expertise on their governing board or within the leadership of their support organization.
